Arte Y Pico

I deserve a slap on the wrist.

I have been graciously given a blogger award by my dear and not-so-near-right-now friend Daphne, over at Five Foot Under, entitled the Arte Y Pico blogger award!

And this happened a few weeks ago, and I am supposed to put a pic of the award on my blog and I am now just getting around to it.

No excuses for me! Except to say that this is the first weekend I feel I can finally breathe in this uber-clean East Aurora air and say to myself, hmmm...what shall I plan for today? [It is OH SO nice!]

So without further adeu, I shall heftily thank my pal Daphers and post the award pic. Yay, awards!

Here is the criteria:

1. You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contributes to the blogging community, no matter what language.2. Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his/her blog to be visited by everyone.3. Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that has given her/him the award itself.4. The Award winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of "Arte Y Pico" blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.5. To show these rules.

And the Nominees are...

1 - Garrett Hanna at his blog here. Garrett is in my year at Sheridan, and is currently doing his internship at Silicon Knights doing concept work. He is unbelievably talented, and I can't stop myself from staring at his work almost every day.

2 - Mark Mayerson at his blog here. Mark was my second year animation teacher, and I admire his blog because it is consistently chalk full of worthy and important animation info, analysis and general interesting topics.

3 - Nate Wragg at his blog here. Nate works at Pixar and I love, love, love, LOVE his style. Constant inspirato flows from this dude!

4 - Chris Steingart at his blog here. I worked with Chris at a previous art dept, and I love his laid-back-ness and love for art, drawing and rock! He inspires me and I love his attitude and his artwork.

5 - Pete Emslie at his blog here. Pete is a generally great guy, amazing artist and terrific teacher to boot! He taught me second year character design, and I always get inspired by his line quality, caricaturing ability and pure sense of fun in his drawings.

Yay for everyone!

Now you're supposed to send out the award to five other bloggers and post the rules!

Ooohhhhhh okay, I thought there was more to it than that!

Sometimes I am not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer! I'm new to these things. Thanks Daphers!
