Tattoo-pallooza!

A friend of mine asked if I would draw up a few sketches for a foot tattoo she has always wanted. She only knew that she wanted her kids names in a neat design. So here's what I came up with, and the final inked design. Such fun it was!

This is the winning sketch she liked best:

TerraFrog Clothing Update

So around 2007, I was hired by an awesome client, Cori, to design the logo and branding package for her new yoga-inspired clothing company, TerraFrog Clothing Corp. It was a heap of fun, and I just loved being able to help launch a line of clothing that was not only amazingly designed, but also made in Canada! What a rarity these days!

Anyway, they are growing in leaps and bounds, and just got a request from a store in NYC that wants to sell their line! So proud of them :)

The courage to love.

One of the true heroes of compassion and servitude for others, in my opinion, is Mother Teresa. I am continually inspired when I read quotes from her, and things about her life's work. So, naturally, it inspires me to paint! I have painted this quote once before for a friend, and recently I had a commission request for it again. I don't like doing the same painting twice, so I designed a new painting with this timeless quote:

"We should ask ourselves, 'Have I really experienced the joy of loving?' True love is love that causes us pain, that hurts, and yet brings us joy. That is why we must pray and ask for the courage to love." -Mother Teresa

The next time I paint, it will be in our new place in Vancouver!
Am I pumped? Yes indeedy, I sure am :)

Further to a post a while ago, about designing some paintings for kidlets.... here are how the finals turned out! What fun; I'd love to do more like these. And the best part - the kids loved 'em! That's means the most to moi :)

I'm a-BC Boundin'!

So... life changes, and mine will be a lot in a few short weeks! We have decided to make the leap and move to Vancouver as of November 1st. As I always say, life is too short, and ya gotta take risks! I will miss my family and close friends of course the most, but Tams and I are ready for a new adventure!

Stay tuned..... :)
