Git along little drawrin's

This has been another crazy week o' freelance... so I am a-gonna post the rest of my model sheets from our Western character design... cont'd from Clara I posted earlier.

I have plans to colourize and finish a couple poses of these guys, and also do a group pose with them... but the summer is a-flyin' and my to-do list is piling up!!

Now if you'll excuse me it's a beautiful sunny summer Saturday, and I have plans to frolick in the closest meadow.

Gamblin' in Grover Gulch....storyboard

I finally stopped for a few minutes so I could post this puppy... our storyboard assignment that was due today. [Luckily the due date was pushed back from Friday, ack!!!]

This assignment differed from last term's, in that we had to board a scene/sequence in a story, rather than an entire story. [phew!] Still, it took a while. This board may have been slightly shorter, but we were required to do waaaaaaaaaayyyy more research.

We had to choose between 3 themes - Western, Medieval, Victorian.
I chose Medieval.
Just kidding....just checking to see who actually reads my jabber!!

No, to my parent's avail, I chose Western. [Thanks Mom for the story idears!!]
And we had to include a stagecoach.
Stinkin' stagecoach, like THAT'S easy to draw!

Anyhoo, enough ramble...I gotta start my clean-up animation due Thursday.
Aaaaaaaaaack.

Git along, little doggy.

Performance Acting, starring Pixie-Lou.

Here is the second scenario with Pixie-Lou.

She's also from last year.

She may be a farm girl, but she don't like no frogs.

Enough said.

Follow along again to see if the images make sense.

My fav pose is the last one - I always feel like I run like that in my dreams.
Hmm...maybe it's just me... :)

Performance Acting, starring Hank.

This is Hank.

He's simple.

And he loves cake.

I designed him last year for Char Design and decided to revive him for our latest Char Design assignment [due Monday].

We were assigned two scenarios we had to then act out with two of our own characters.

Follow the images down to see if they make sense to you as a sequence.

Perhaps I'll post scenario two lata.

Pixie-Lou, Version Two

This is that Acting character design assignment I mentioned a couple posts ago. I got back to my graphic design roots and had some fun with this puppy. I especially love the addition of her chicken-friend, Fred. Who wouldn't want a chicken-friend named Fred?? For reals.

It was supposed to look like a report that Pixie-Lou handed in to her teacher, on a burlap potato sack [since, of course, raw potatoes are her fav snack of choice]. On the back, her teacher has commented on the assignment [and her]....so it fills in her history a bit.

Questions....comments....observations....?
Go eat a raw potato.
