Love en Pariee!

I was commissioned to do a painting as a wedding gift for a couple who live in Poland, but they fell in love in Paris. One of the pics I used as a reference for them, was them sharing a Canada Dry gingerale. I was informed they recieved the painting this past weekend for their wedding, and they loved it! Yay for love and painting!

One week Sunday!!!

It's been a long and winding, yet beautiful, journey with the one I truly love with my entire being by my side. To be her wife will to make me the happiest, most fulfilled and thankful woman in the world. I can't wait to wake up every morning and look at that ring on my finger. I am humbled and in awe of all that real love can do :)

Life changes :)

So much happens in life, you can never plan it! Mine has been really busy the last few weeks, I'm working on some paintings and story ideas and all that jazz...but click on the pic above to see what has been taking up most of my time..... :)

A summer canvas

Here's a painting I just came across that I did in the summer - I did it as a surprise wedding gift for my cousin Alyson and her new hubby Kevin. I talked to my Aunt to get their colours and took the Bible verse from their wedding invitation.

I was happy she was using some of my fav colours, it was great fun to paint! And the size of the canvas was slightly different, which is always more fun.

Nothing beats painting in the summer kitchen!

I can't believe the youngest of us cousins, Alyson, is getting married tomorrow!! Wowza. Well, I am super excited for her and my new cuz, Kev!

I'll definitely miss being involved in all the festivities tomorrow, but school is too crazy to leave, and Winnipeg is a tad further than a hop, skip and a jump! So I sent this caricature of them in my place.

Chomiak Card Capers

My grand friend Ann, who owns a charming little shop on Kerr Street [here in Oakville] called Art on the Left, told me that I could sell some cards through her shop if I so desired.

And since I love painting, and am always in need of funds to attempt to balance my starving artist status... I said, "Why I'd love to!"

So I spent my last day of non-school work today whipping up some watercolour cards. Tomorrow however, it is Week 2, and all downhill! Free time as I knew it, is officially over.
