Best eavestrougher in the West. Or--central.

My dad owns his own eavestroughing bi'ness back in Winnipeg called "Quality Eavestroughing" - and it surely is! He is a major perfectionist, and is amazing at all he does. So after over 35 years of doing amazing work, he finally got voted best eavestroughing business for 2011! I decided to caricature him and his award for the occasion.

When I showed this to my dad, he laughed for over 5 minutes. His safari hat and signature yellow suspenders made this look just like him! If you knew him, you'd see it :)

One week Sunday!!!

It's been a long and winding, yet beautiful, journey with the one I truly love with my entire being by my side. To be her wife will to make me the happiest, most fulfilled and thankful woman in the world. I can't wait to wake up every morning and look at that ring on my finger. I am humbled and in awe of all that real love can do :)

Fest Flipping Forty!

Last week, "Tah-Dah" made it into its' 40th film festival. Wowieeee!
Since I started working full-time, things have been rather busy, but I am working on a commissioned painting right now, and have a bazillion idears for personal things.... so I will be posting soon! Stay tooned :)

Paintings for the kidlets!

Further to a post a while ago, about designing some paintings for kidlets.... here are how the finals turned out! What fun; I'd love to do more like these. And the best part - the kids loved 'em! That's means the most to moi :)

I'm a-BC Boundin'!

So... life changes, and mine will be a lot in a few short weeks! We have decided to make the leap and move to Vancouver as of November 1st. As I always say, life is too short, and ya gotta take risks! I will miss my family and close friends of course the most, but Tams and I are ready for a new adventure!

Princesses. Pink. Perrtty.

A friend of mine is commissioning me to work on something uber-fun: paintings for her kidlets! She has three adorable little guys, and I am designing them each an original painting. The two girls love princesses, so I mocked up a few rough colour thumbnails to show her a few idears.











Once she narrows down her favs, I will get to refine the character designs and begin to paint on canvas! Me love designing for kids. We are on the same level! :)
